Pomar shoes are manufactured in their own factory according to EU standards, thus ensuring high quality, good working conditions, product safety and the environmental impact of production. Pomar shoes are produced locally in Pärnu, Estonia.
GORE-TEX® guarantees the waterproofness and breathability of the footwear. In Pomar GORE-TEX® shoes, your feet stay dry and you're in a good mood whatever the weather. GORE-TEX® is a microporous membrane laminated to the lining that protects from water on the outside, but the moisture that forms inside the shoe gets out. In addition, the seams of the lining are taped and the shoe is protected from water in the area of the sole to achieve complete waterproofness. The upper material of the GORE-TEX® shoe has a waterproof treatment that prevents the leather from getting wet. Thanks to the treatment, water does not absorb into the upper, the footwear dries quickly and salt streaks do not form.

Pomar specializes in the quality and functionality of shoe soles in various conditions. POMAR WINTER GRIP+ is designed to hold on snow and ice, this sole can be found e.g. From Saana and Koli felt boots. In these soles, the pattern of the sole is designed to guarantee the best grip in winter conditions, leaving enough space for compacted snow. The bottom is also thicker than normal to increase thermal insulation. The POMAR TRACTION sole is a versatile option for autumn and winter weather with a low sneaker-style profile. Grip in this sole is produced by the TR rubber combined with the pattern. Shoes with Pomar Traction+ soles include Varpu -model. POMAR ANTI-SLIP is designed for the most slippery and icy conditions. Reversible studs in the heel provide traction that keeps you upright on any surface. Shoes with ANTI-SLIP soles include e.g. women's LAUHA. NORDIC GRIP+'s higher profile and more aggressive patterning make the Nordic GRIP+ base a slightly more wintery option compared to the Traction base. The TR rubber used as material guarantees the best possible grip in slippery conditions. Shoes with Nordic GRIP+ soles include women's Saari and Malla. POMAR TR soles are manufactured with several different patterns, which are shaped according to the shoe. All of these are multipurpose shoes for autumn and winter and can be found in the women's Rae and Aava models. The sole has a 'Kommando' pattern, which guarantees grip on, for example, muddy paths, but is also easy to clean due to the wider intervals.
